Hola! Thank you for taking the time to visit my website.  Below is a little bit about me...

TRAINING Emelina holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Dance from Point Park University, where she debuted her first principal role as Juliet in Nicholas Petrov's Romeo & Juliet, presented at the esteemed Pittsburgh Playhouse.  She has worked with renown choreographers such as Helen Simoneau, Gregory Dolbashian, Jason McDole, and Daniel Karasik.  This Costa Rican feels honored to have studied under the wing of valued professors such as Rubén Graciani, Garfield Lemonious, Jason McDole, Mark Burrell, Jim Cooney, Judith Leifer-Bentz, Susan Stowe and many more venerate professors.  In addition, she has been an active participant and collaborator in many of her peers' works.

Born and raised in Costa Rica, Emelina received her early artistic training at the Conservatorio de Castella, where she grew up training in dance, music, theatre and visual arts.  During high school, she rigorously trained in classical ballet at the Orlando Ballet School Academy.

Additional dance training includes Batsheva Dance Company (Gaga course), San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, New Dialect, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Broadway Dance Center, among other notable programs.

Today, Emelina resides in Orlando, FL and is constantly reminding herself to not take life too seriously.  She is immensely thankful to God for her life, her parents, her friends and her mentors.
